We're a booking service, and Fine Entertainments Ltd runs it. We don't own booths ourselves. We work with trusted photo booth partners, reply with what's free on your date (usually the same day), and nothing is booked until you say yes.
Hotel suites around Cardiff Bay
The waterfront hotels are the easy end of things. voco St David's has big function rooms, including the Dylan Thomas Suite, which can be split in two, and the Roald Dahl Suite with its own private bar. Hotel rooms like these tend to have lifts, level floors and sockets where you need them.
The main thing to sort with a hotel is the spot. Booths do best near the bar or the dance floor, not tucked down a corridor by the toilets. An open-air booth slots nicely into a suite that's been split, because it doesn't need a big footprint and a group of ten can still squeeze into one shot.
Castle rooms and older buildings in the centre
Cardiff Castle hires out rooms for weddings and functions, among them the Undercroft and the Banqueting Hall. The Banqueting Hall is only available outside the castle's visiting hours, which changes when a supplier can load in. Worth asking about early.
Historic rooms often come with stairs, narrow doorways and rules about what can touch the walls or floors. A partner will want to know the route from the van to the room before the day. And if the venue asks for public liability insurance or PAT test certificates, we'll get them sent over.
Then there's getting into town. When there's a big match or concert at the Principality Stadium, roads around the centre close, so a booth team arriving that day has to plan its route and timings around it.
Country houses and castles out in the Vale
Head west into the Vale of Glamorgan and the venues get bigger and greener. Hensol Castle gives couples exclusive use of the castle for the day, with weddings from around 60 guests up to 200.
Out here you've usually got more room to play with, so a magic mirror or a fully enclosed booth with a backdrop can take a proper corner of the room. Just check the drive time for the booth team, and whether they'll need somewhere to stay if the party runs late.
Getting a photo booth hire Cardiff quote that's actually accurate
Give us the venue name, the room if you know it, your guest numbers and the hours you want the booth running. That's enough for a partner to say whether the space works and what the setup will look like.
Booths usually come with props, a backdrop and someone to run them, and many can print on the spot or send pictures straight to phones. The exact package varies by partner, so we'll spell it out in your quote. Send the details through our quote form, say if you're in the Bay, the city centre or out in the Vale, and we'll see who's free.
