We're Fine Entertainments Ltd, an entertainment agency in Corby. We don't own booths, we book them through trusted partners who already know Scottish venues, and we'll reply with what's free on your date and a quote.
The LEZ and what it means for your booth
Glasgow's low emission zone covers roughly a square mile of the city centre, bounded by the M8, the River Clyde and the Saltmarket and High Street side. It's been enforced since June 2023, and vans have to meet the emission standards to drive in. There's no pay-to-enter option.
In practice, partners working in Glasgow know the rules and use compliant vehicles. But it's worth us confirming it for city-centre jobs, so tell us the venue address when you enquire.
Merchant City halls and station hotels
The Trades Hall on Glassford Street, designed by Robert Adam in the 1790s, sits inside the zone. Its Grand Hall has chandeliers and big arched windows, and the Saloon connects to it through a door, which can make a nice spot for a booth away from the dance floor. Old halls usually have set routes for equipment, so check how the partner gets from the street to your room.
voco Grand Central, at 99 Gordon Street right beside Central Station, has a Grand Ballroom licensed for ceremonies. Big hotels like this often have a loading bay and a service lift. Ask the events team where suppliers should arrive, and pass it on to us so the partner isn't circling Gordon Street at teatime.
Photo booth hire Glasgow West End style
Up at the top of Byres Road, opposite the Botanic Gardens, Òran Mór is a converted church with an Auditorium and an upper Gallery used for larger weddings. It's outside the city-centre zone, so access is a bit easier, though high ceilings and a big room suit a tall booth or a magic mirror better than a tiny unit that gets lost.
The West End crowd tends to like something a bit different. A GIF booth or an open-air setup with a good backdrop usually gets more use than props alone.
Power, stairs and preferred suppliers
Listed buildings sometimes have limited sockets or rules about cable runs, and some function rooms are upstairs with no lift. A booth partner can usually cope with both, as long as they know in advance. Venues will also want public liability insurance and PAT certificates before the day.
A few venues keep a preferred-supplier list. If yours does, let us know when you request a quote and we'll check first. That goes for a Merchant City hall and a hotel out in Milngavie alike, and it's far easier sorted in week one than the week before.
