We're Fine Entertainments Ltd, an entertainment agency in Corby, and we book booths from trusted partners across Merseyside. Fill in one form and a person gets back to you with what's free and what it'll cost.
Big birthdays: what works
For an 18th or 21st, think phones. A booth that sends short clips straight to everyone's phone gets shared before the cake even comes out. Have a look at GIF booth hire if that sounds like your crowd.
Older guests tend to love prints. A 40th or 50th with a proper print booth and a box of daft props means everyone goes home with something for the fridge. And the props often get worn on the dance floor for the rest of the night.
Most booths can add a custom print template with the birthday person's name and age, which makes the strips feel like proper souvenirs.
Grand rooms in the city
St George's Hall, opposite Lime Street station, hires out its Great Hall for weddings and big events, and the register office sits at the southern end of the same building. Ceilings that high suit an open-air booth with a light backdrop, so the hall itself still shows in the photos.
On the waterfront, the Titanic Hotel at Stanley Dock holds weddings in its Rum Warehouse, a converted dock warehouse with room for a few hundred guests. Exposed brick and industrial lighting look great behind a magic mirror.
In a big hall, put the booth well away from the top table. A queue of giggling guests carries during the speeches.
Photo booth hire Liverpool for the 360 crowd
A 360 video booth is a spinning arm on a low platform that films slow-motion clips. At a Liverpool party, expect a queue. They usually need more floor space than a standard booth and someone to run them, so they cost a bit more.
Worth it for a wedding with a big dance floor, or a prom where nobody wants a printed strip. Our 360 photo booth hire page explains what's usually included.
Getting the kit in around the docks and centre
Waterfront venues often have decent space for a van. The streets around Bold Street and the Ropewalks are tighter, with loading restrictions in places, so suppliers like to arrive well before the first guests.
Exhibition Centre Liverpool on Kings Dock runs conferences and exhibitions, and like most big venues it'll want public liability insurance and PAT certificates from suppliers. Get that paperwork sorted a fortnight out and the day itself is easy.
Old warehouse conversions sometimes have goods lifts and sometimes don't, so ask which floor you're on before settling on a heavy enclosed booth.
