You tell us the date and the venue. We come back with the booths that are free and a price, and you decide. Nothing's booked until you're happy.
When to run the booth on a wedding day
The sweet spot is usually the evening. Guests have eaten, had a drink or two, and the evening crowd has arrived wanting something to do before the first dance. Two or three hours from around then tends to catch nearly everyone.
Some couples open it during the drinks reception as well. That can work if there's a lull while the group photos are taken, but it can also pull people away from the photographer, so have a think.
One practical tip. Put the booth near the bar queue, because people wander over while they wait.
Northampton venues where a booth sits well
Delapré Abbey, on the south side of town, keeps its weddings to around 25 a year and has a Walled Garden for ceremonies, plus a South Lawn that takes marquees for up to 500. Marquees are great for booths, but a booth needs a normal plug socket close by, so ask the marquee company where the power will be.
North of town, Sedgebrook Hall at Pitsford sits in 13 acres and has rooms for guests to stay over. The Hilton Northampton has the Collingtree Suite, which takes civil ceremonies for up to 180, so there's room for a booth in the corner without squeezing the dance floor. Whichever venue you pick, ask about supplier rules when you book, as some keep a preferred list.
Which booth suits which kind of wedding
For a classic do in an old house, an enclosed booth is hard to beat. It's private, it gets a bit silly once the curtain's shut, and the prints often go into a guest book with a message underneath.
Bigger, louder receptions often go for a magic mirror or a 360 platform. And if you'd love voice messages as well as written ones, an audio guest book can sit right next to the booth.
Photo booth hire Northampton at Christmas
December gets busy round here. The Hilton Northampton has a festive programme running through December 2026, and lots of local firms book their own rooms for team parties. A booth gives people something to do between the meal and the disco. It's a nice way to get the quieter ones involved too, since nobody has to dance.
Friday and Saturday nights in the run-up to Christmas go first, so if your party falls on one of those, don't leave it. Send the venue and numbers through the quote form and we'll check which partners can still fit in a Northampton date before the big day.
