Fine Entertainments Ltd is a Corby-based agency that books booths through trusted partners, including ones who work across Edinburgh and the Lothians. One form gets you a reply from a real person with what's free on your date and a price.
Hogmanay and New Year parties
A New Year's Eve party with a booth running to midnight is a cracking way to see in the year. Private parties, hotel dinners and office celebrations in early January all come up. Expect late finishes and premium dates to cost more, and book well ahead.
For a countdown party, a 360 video booth gives you slow-motion clips of everyone in their glad rags. Or keep it classic with prints people can stick on the fridge on New Year's Day. Either way, put the booth near the bar rather than the dance floor. Just before the bells, nobody wants to be queuing in the middle of the crush.
Photo booth hire Edinburgh in the city centre
The Assembly Rooms on George Street hosts weddings, conferences, dinners and private parties, with a Grand Ballroom and a Music Hall, and it doubles as a festival venue in August. It also sits inside Edinburgh's low emission zone, which has been enforced since June 2024 and covers the Old Town and the city centre up to Queen Street. Partners working there use vehicles that meet the standards, but we'll double-check.
Parking on George Street is tight, so partners usually agree a loading slot with the venue. And give some thought to stairs and lifts in older New Town buildings, as function rooms aren't always on the ground floor.
Weddings at country houses and castles
Prestonfield House sits in around 20 acres of gardens and parkland near Arthur's Seat. The historic house suits smaller weddings, while the Stables take larger parties. A tall, elegant booth or a magic mirror tends to fit that kind of setting better than a brightly branded box. Ask for a plain finish and a backdrop in muted colours if you'd like it to blend in.
Out in Midlothian, Dalhousie Castle offers exclusive use for bigger celebrations as well as smaller weddings. Castles and old houses can have thick walls, narrow corridors and limited sockets, so share the room plan with us when you ask for a quote.
Small details that save a headache
Venues will ask for public liability insurance and PAT certificates, which booth partners usually provide. Some keep preferred-supplier lists. If you're in a marquee in East Lothian, check power is sorted with the marquee company.
Setup is usually about an hour, and partners like to arrive before the first guests do. In August, allow extra time for traffic around the city centre, especially near the Royal Mile and Princes Street, where road closures and crowds can turn a ten-minute drive into a long one.
