We're Fine Entertainments Ltd, an entertainment agency based in Corby, and we don't own the booths ourselves. We book trusted photo booth partners who cover South Yorkshire, check who's free on your date and come back with a quote. You decide from there.
Wedding booths on the edge of the Peak
Sheffield's wedding scene leans towards big houses in green surroundings. Whirlow Brook Hall, out on the south-west side, is booked on an exclusive-use basis, so your guests have the place to themselves and a booth can sit in a side room without anyone else's party wandering in. Kenwood Hall has a lake and a terrace overlooking it, which is lovely for photos but means you'll want the booth inside once the evening crowd arrives.
If you want the full rundown on timings and print options, our wedding photo booth guide goes through it. Short version? Open the booth after the meal, not during it.
Photo booth hire Sheffield city centre: listed halls and tight streets
The Cutlers' Hall on Church Street, across from the cathedral, is Grade II listed and has several rooms, with the Main Hall the biggest. Old buildings like this often have rules about where kit can go, what can be fixed to walls and when suppliers can load in. Ask the events team early.
Parking right outside a city-centre hall is rarely guaranteed, so most partners want a loading time agreed in advance. And with listed buildings, check whether there's a lift to your function room or whether the booth goes up the stairs in pieces. It's usually fine. It just needs planning.
Which booth suits a Sheffield crowd
For a wedding with grandparents and little ones, an enclosed booth with a curtain tends to get the shy guests in. For a student ball or a big 21st, an open-air setup fits whole groups at once and draws a crowd from across the room.
Magic mirrors are popular too. They're full-length screens that often chat to guests and print on the spot, and they suit hotel ballrooms with a bit of floor space spare.
Paperwork, power and the bits venues ask about
Most Sheffield venues will ask for the booth partner's public liability insurance and PAT test certificates before the day. Partners usually carry both, and we'll make sure they're sent over. You'll also need a socket within reach and a space roughly the size of a large dining table, plus room for a queue.
Setup normally takes around an hour, and partners like to be finished before guests sit down. If your venue has a preferred-supplier list, tell us when you get a quote and we'll check before anything's booked. Dore, Ecclesall or a function room a stone's throw from the Crucible, it's the same process.
