Photo booth hire Essex venues with space to spread out
Prested Hall in Feering, near Colchester, is a 15th-century house in parkland with several open-air spaces. Layer Marney Tower, the Tudor gatehouse south-west of Colchester, has a barn and a long gallery used for weddings and events.
Hylands House on the edge of Chelmsford sits in a huge park, and its Grand Pavilion takes larger receptions. Gosfield Hall, a Georgian house near Halstead, is a smaller and more intimate setting.
Big open grounds are tempting for an outdoor booth. On a still summer evening it's lovely, but have somewhere under cover ready, and remember the light fades early in spring and autumn.
Barns, pavilions and where to plug in
Essex has plenty of barns and pavilion-style rooms. They photograph beautifully, but check the sockets early. Some barns only have a handful, and the DJ and caterers will want them too.
If the booth's going in a marquee or pavilion, ask how the floor is laid. Matting over grass is fine for a light open-air setup, while heavier enclosed booths much prefer a hard floor.
A few venues keep a preferred-supplier list, so check outside suppliers are allowed before you fall for a particular booth.
Getting around the county
Essex stretches from the edge of London up to the Suffolk border, so a partner near Brentwood isn't always the obvious pick for Saffron Walden or Clacton. We'll look for one that makes sense for your venue.
